My Journey as a College Football Player

The word “vitality” really sums up my time as a college athlete. It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish. And in between, you have to dominate every obstacle that’s in your path. You see, when you walk a straight path, it’s going to come with challenges and tribulations. But it’s about the mindset you have to keep pushing and moving forward, even when the odds are against you.

At the end of the day, it’s about channeling your mindset and energy to keep your focus on what you believe in your goals and faith. All in all, I’d say my college experience was about balance. It’s a different type of mindset and knowledge to balance school, sports, and outside life. I’m so happy I’ve been able to embrace it all.

My Experience as the Vice President of the AO Executive Committee

Being a part of the first-ever Executive Committee at Athletes.org was a blessing. I was able to use connections, meet different people, and pivot in many different directions. But more than anything, I enjoyed showing nothing but love and allowing myself to be genuinely rewarded for it.

And being able to speak for athletes and be an advocate for people in different sports across the country, not just football, was a blessing. I was just happy to be a part of it all. My favorite moment at Athletes.org was when we went bowling. It was a great event, and we were able to share knowledge, have great fellowship, and talk about what it means to be a collegiate athlete. We also talked about the steps moving forward and what’s changing around the NCAA. So, we learned a lot that day.

My Impact at AO & College Athletics

When it comes to enduring challenges and life obstacles, allow yourself to truly take heed of not just the problem itself, but also what it’s teaching you. Once you figure out that type of self-reflection, your life will start to become everything you want it to be because you’ll start looking at a problem not as a negative but as a positive. When you flip that mindset and rewire your brain, you’ll be in a better mindset and a better light.

You’ll be learning not to stoop down to the level of where this problem wants you to be, but to be a better version of yourself. When you do that, everything else will fall into place.

Advice to My Younger Self

If I could give my younger self one piece of advice, it would be to protect your energy, focus on what you genuinely want, and then go do what you want. Don’t let any type of doubters or naysayers get you off track. In life, we’ll always face challenges and tribulations, but it’s all about the mindset you have to keep pushing forward, even when you feel like the odds are against you.

The best advice I can give is to channel your mindset and keep your focus on what you believe in, your goals, and your faith. That’s what I’ve done my entire life, and it’s gotten me to where I am today. It’s not how you start; it’s how you finish.

Next Steps

I’ve declared for the 2026 NFL Draft and am trusting God through the entire process.

My Words of Wisdom

My favorite scripture is Matthew 6:33. Seek the kingdom first, seek God first, and everything that you ask for will be bestowed upon you. And that’s the mindset I’m going to carry with me every day of my life.
